This idea was floated by a sports enthusiast Sumit Kaul with the support of legends like Sanjeeva Chaudhary, who captained J&K Ranji team for 16 years, Shashi Kaul, a person who earned laurels at national level in Cricket and Badminton, Sushil Dhar a master who has played DDCA for many years – this trust could not have had been possible without the support of Mr Ajay Bhat CEO ….. and lately by Mr Abhin Kaul who through his energy and dynamism has taken this trust to a different level. Sports Trust of Displaced Kashmiri’s have been organizing Cricket tournaments under the flagship name KPL (Kashmir Premier League) and CPL (Chinar Premier League) since 5 years now – this league has given birth to lot of cricket talents namely Aman Zutshi, Aakash Raina, Abhinav Tufchi, Akash Tufchi, Rahul Mussa, the list goes on and on.
This year STDK organised KBL (Kashmir Badminton League) a tournament which was played within the Kashmiri Community, this tournament has given birth to a lots of young emerging badminton talent’s like Shehjar Chaudhary, Shirin Kaul, AaravDhar, Aarav Kaul, Vansh Raj Kaul, Aryan Nehru, AnujSher, Prajjwal Kaul, Gopal Mahaldar, Sandeep Moza.
